Who is Unfiltered Image?
We're a small team of photographers, who have been working for over 25 years shooting the general public, as well as new or professional models and brides for their special day. We’ve also captured images of animals, circus performers, wild events and even raves. You name it - we've photographed it.
We feel that the relationship a photographer has with a client has to be open. Over time, we've crafted a few guidelines we like to uphold:
Full Ownership: You’ll receive all high-resolution images suitable for web, social media, email, and printing. We don’t hold your photos hostage or require you to go through us for future prints.
Timely Delivery: Your digital images will be edited and ready for delivery within 14 days—guaranteed. For smaller shoots, it’s typically just a few days.
Secure Storage: All images are stored in an encrypted “digital safe,” ensuring protection from hackers and prying eyes. We’ll safeguard your photos for at least 10 years, so you can rest easy knowing your memories are secure.
Respectful Service: We proudly serve all clients, regardless of culture, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, creed, or religion. Professionalism and respect are our top priorities.

Where are you?
Located within an hour of Boston, Providence, Worcester, and Southern NH/VT/ME, we’re easily accessible in our two studios and willing to travel to you if needed. We believe in collaboration, so your ideas are always welcome. We're not formulaic photographers; we bring a fresh perspective to every shoot, whether it’s a mundane moment or a special occasion. For us, creating is often an end in itself.

I'm not photogenic, can you help me look great in photos?
Absolutely. Many people think they aren’t photogenic because of past experiences, but we use the same techniques that top models and celebrities rely on. We combine expert portrait photography, strategic lighting, professional makeovers, and digital enhancements to bring out your best. Even professional models aren’t always photogenic from every angle—that’s where our expertise comes in. Trust us to make you look amazing.
Can any photography session be combined with other photographic needs?
Yes! We often combine sessions—for example, a fitness shoot might evolve into headshots or even a boudoir session. Whether it’s for personal, professional, or family use, we can create stunning images that stand out.
Do you shoot engagements or weddings?

Do you shoot models under 18?
No, we require photo ID for all models and do not photograph models under 18. We do, however, photograph children accompanied by parents and kids at events.
Is everyone a little nervous before the photography session begins?
Yes, it’s completely normal! Most people aren’t professional models, and we expect some nerves. We’ll guide you through the process, and by the time we’ve selected outfits and gone over the details, you’ll feel relaxed and excited. It only gets better from there.
Can I bring someone?
Yes, feel free to bring someone you trust who can provide encouragement and support (and can help you bring in your outfits).
Where do my images end up? What about my privacy?
Your privacy is our priority. Our “privacy by default” model release ensures you have full control over your images. Nothing will be shown or posted online without your explicit, written consent.
Do I bring my own clothing?
Yes, bring your favorite outfits, jewelry, and accessories. We’ll provide you with a list of suggestions to help you choose what to wear. We also have small touches in the studio to complement your wardrobe.
Do you have a make-up artist and hairstylist?
Yes, we can arrange for professional makeup artists and stylists for an additional fee. Properly applied makeup is essential for studio photography, and we have experts who can help you look your best.
What happens in a shoot?
Our studios are comfortable, with music and refreshments available. We’ll start by reviewing your outfits and deciding on the best ones. Then, we’ll choose backgrounds and lighting that highlight your best features. We’ll guide you through poses and expressions, so you don’t have to worry about a thing. We’ve done this hundreds of times, and the process is smooth and enjoyable.
How long does a shoot take?
Studio shoots typically last 3-6 hours, while on-location shoots can vary in their length, due to environmental considerations. We work within your energy levels, so you’re never pushed beyond your limits.
Do you edit the photos afterwards?
Yes, we’re skilled in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom, where we fine-tune light levels, correct colors, and convert some shots to black and white. We offer full retouching and digital enhancement but prefer to capture a perfect image in the studio rather than rely heavily on post-processing. Our goal is to enhance your natural presence without over-editing.
Will you handle all the necessary components needed in a photography session?
Yes, we guide you through every step, ensuring you never feel lost or uncomfortable. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we strive to make you look fantastic.
Do you do nude photography?
Yes, we offer tasteful, artistic nude photography upon request. Our approach is inspired by classic painting and sculpture techniques, and the results are artistically pleasing. These images are not part of our online portfolio, but you are free to use them as you wish.
Do you photograph men?
Yes, we do. There’s a growing demand for male photography, including "dude-oir" sessions and professional portraits. We’re experienced in creating images that capture the essence of our male clients.
Should I diet before I have my photography session next week (month, etc.)?
No need. With proper lighting, flattering clothing, and digital enhancements, we’ll ensure you look your best without the need for drastic measures.
What is the cost of a session?
